A Perfect Squelch
There is nothing like the right comment to end an argument and this story, which a friend shared with me, has it. Enjoy!
A young boy had just gotten his driver's permit and asked his father if they could discuss his use of the car.
His father said he'd make a deal with his son. "You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, get your hair cut, and we'll talk about the car."
The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer and they agreed on it.

I am here to just add on to this subject by giving people a well known link that might save people from participating in illegal internet money laundering scams unwittingly. Although there is a wealth of information out there for everyone's public viewing, I think it is important to take note that these warnings can be taken for granted. I am providing another link that people maybe interested in using for research purposes on this critical topic.

Have you ever checked out sites that offer bogus jobs that require you to use your own bank account in order to cash in bogus checks? These people keep asking you to take 10% of the cash amount as commission for your sevice. They tell you to send the rest of the money as a money order to a specified location.
I'm here to warn you not to accept such lucrative offers, even on your worst unemployment day. They look for vulnerable people that need ways to make cash quickly, but in the end you end up being the sucker. If you cash the check into your own personal bank account and money order the 90% through a money order institution like Western Union (for example) you will put yourself in debt. How, you might wonder? If the bank finds out that check you recieved in the mail is a bad check from this supposed bogus employer's clients you will have to pay the bank the 90% you money ordered unwittingly to that bogus employer online.

The short story is suppose to have a very short beginning, a long middle, and an excellent ending. these three things is what makes a short story. In order to make a short story stick out you have to learn the art through lots of practical practice that might take years.
I am twenty-eight and have been writing since I was nine. I am still learning the process. In this field there is really no such thing as masters. There are those whom are considered masters of writing. Stephen King, bless him for his talent, is one of the greatest writers. Brian Lumley ranks right up there with him. Another great writer, a writer of action adventure is Clive Cussler. They have truly come the closest I have seen to actually conquering the writing we all dream of doing.

In the U.S. if a son has the same name as his father, the father will assume the suffix of "Sr." for senior and the son the suffix of "Jr." for junior. For the Senior/Junior suffix to apply the names (first, middle and last) must be exactly the same. If just the first and last are the same but the middle name different then they should not be distinguished by the Senior/Jounior suffix but by their different middle names. But many ignore this. Technically, when either the father or the son dies, the suffix should be dropped as there is no longer a reason to continue making the distinction. However, many, including me, continue to use the Jr. suffix after their father's death out of respect and/or habit. Finally, while it is relatively common to refer to someone as "John Jones Jr." and for that person to sign his name as such, it is not as common to refer to the father as "John Jones Sr." or for him to sign that way unless the son is more famous than the father and the father wants to differentiate himself from the son. The reason for the father usually not bothering with the Sr. suffix is that he was around first and whenever people refer to "John Jones" without the suffix they mean the father. While the suffix "II" is sometimes used in place of "Jr." it should not be used for a son named after his father but instead for a boy named after his grandfather or uncle. In this case "John Jones II" is the second living person in the extended family to hold that name but he is not junior to his father as far as his name goes. While the suffix "III" is becoming a little more common among average people it is still most commonly used among wealthier, upper crust, families and carries the connotation of a dynasty. While it is usually safe to assume that the boy with "III" as his suffix has the same name as his father and grandfather, it could be that he shares the name with his father and great uncle or his grandfather and uncle. With Roman numerals going beyond "III" we are almost always talking about boys from wealthy and socially prominent families who have had the name handed down from great-grandfather to grandfather to father and now to them. While it is not uncommon for girls to be named after their mother, grandmother or aunt these suffixes are not used with women, leaving this as one of the few male bastions feminists have yet to tamper with.I originally learned the proper use of these suffixes while working evenings in the local public library when I was in high school. A man came in somewhat worried because he had given his son his full name and had used the suffix "II" on the birth announcements and birth certificate. Someone then told him that the son should have been given the suffix "Jr". The librarian sent me to retrieve Amy Vanderbilt's book of etiquette which she then checked and found the directions given above for assigning these suffixes. Despite the librarian's assurances that it was no big deal, the poor man left looking downcast and as guilt ridden as if he had committed a serious crime like removing the tag from a mattress despite the "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Law" wording on the tag.

To Whom It May Concern,
On the evening of June 27th, at approximately 6:20pm, my wife, two daughters and myself entered a Burger King located on 9523 North Lamar Blvd in Austin Texas for dinner. We had with us four coupons that allowed us to each purchase a medium fries, medium soft drink and with the attached coupon, receive a whopper sandwich for free (retail value $2.39). Being that my wife and daughters are vegitarian, we asked the the counter person Mike if we could switch the whopper on three meals to the BK Veggie Burger (retail value $2.09) to which he called over the store manager, I believe her name to be Alanah, discussed the matter and she agreed.
