U.S. Marine squad was marching north of Fallujah when they came upon
anIraqi terrorist, badly injured and unconscious. On the opposite
side of theroad was an American Marine in a similar but less
serious state. The Marinewas conscious and alert and as first aid
was given to both men, the squadleader asked the injured Marine
what had happened.

The
Marine reported, "I was heavily armed and moving north along
thehighway here, and coming south was a heavily armed insurgent.
We saw eachother and both took cover in the ditches along the
road.I yelled to him that Saddam Hussein is a miserable,
lowlife scumbag, andhe yelled back that Ted Kennedy is a
good-for-nothing, fat, left wingliberal drunk. So I said
that Osama Bin Laden dresses and acts like a frigid,mean-spirited
lesbian! He retaliated by yelling, Oh yea. Well, so does
Hillary Clinton!And, there we were, in the middle of the
road, shaking hands, when a truckhit us."

There is nothing like the right comment to end an argument and this story, which a friend shared with me, has it.   Enjoy!

A young boy had just gotten his driver's permit and asked his father if  they could discuss his use of the car.   

His father said he'd make a deal with his son. "You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, get your hair cut, and we'll talk about the car."     

The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer and they agreed on it.

Have you ever checked out sites that offer bogus jobs that require you to use your own bank account in order to cash in bogus checks? These people keep asking you to take 10% of the cash amount as commission for your sevice. They tell you to send the rest of the money as a money order to a specified location.

I'm here to warn you not to accept such lucrative offers, even on your worst unemployment day. They look for vulnerable people that need ways to make cash quickly, but in the end you end up being the sucker. If you cash the check into your own personal bank account and money order the 90% through a money order institution like Western Union (for example) you will put yourself in debt. How, you might wonder? If the bank finds out that check you recieved in the mail is a bad check from this supposed bogus employer's clients you will have to pay the bank the 90% you money ordered unwittingly to that bogus employer online.

After reviewing your organization DATA on the web and researching the efforts of other organizations currently involved in relief work in Africa I am overwhelmed by how ignorant I was to the drastic situation that exist today in Africa and how the lack of not resolving these issues NOW will have on our entire planet!

The statistics were overwhelming-10% of the world's population-the fact that so many are under the age of 20-200 Million go hungry every day-70% live on less than $2 a day-and the fact that nearly 5 million Africans will die this year to preventable diseases. As a fellow human I am ashamed and embarrassed that this can happen in a world where so much prosperity exist.

American Children Suffer From Divorce 

Each year, over 1 million American children suffer the divorce of their parents; moreover, half of the children born this year to parents who are married will see their parents divorce before they turn 18. Mounting evidence in social science journals demonstrates that the devastating physical, emotional, and financial effects that divorce is having on these children will last well into adulthood and affect future generations. Among these broad and damaging effects are the following:      Children whose parents have divorced are increasingly the victims of abuse. They exhibit more health, behavioral, and emotional problems, are involved more frequently in crime and drug abuse, and have higher rates of suicide.      Children of divorced parents perform more poorly in reading, spelling, and math. They also are more likely to repeat a grade and to have higher drop-out rates and lower rates of college graduation.      Families with children that were not poor before the divorce see their income drop as much as 50 percent. Almost 50 percent of the parents with children that are going through a divorce move into poverty after the divorce.
