Have you ever checked out sites that offer bogus jobs that require you to use your own bank account in order to cash in bogus checks? These people keep asking you to take 10% of the cash amount as commission for your sevice. They tell you to send the rest of the money as a money order to a specified location.

I'm here to warn you not to accept such lucrative offers, even on your worst unemployment day. They look for vulnerable people that need ways to make cash quickly, but in the end you end up being the sucker. If you cash the check into your own personal bank account and money order the 90% through a money order institution like Western Union (for example) you will put yourself in debt. How, you might wonder? If the bank finds out that check you recieved in the mail is a bad check from this supposed bogus employer's clients you will have to pay the bank the 90% you money ordered unwittingly to that bogus employer online.

Free College Textbooks Online - Well a Few, at Least

The August 27th, 2006
edition of the New York Times carried a story, by Randall Stross a
professor of business at San Jose State University, about a new electronic
textbook publisher calling itself Freeload Press. This is a fledgling
startup company, based in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a business model that calls
for making money selling ads in college textbooks and then offering electronic
versions of the books, with ads, online for free. Currently, the company has
very few titles, 15 according to the Times article, and these are mostly
in the math and accounting area.

A couple of days ago, shortly after I got up and was getting ready for work,
we were hit by a fierce, late summer monsoon. While the monsoon rains usually
hit in late afternoon, early morning ones are not uncommon.

Unlike the usual short, five to ten minute, heavy rains, this one lasted
almost an hour with the intensity approaching that of a fire hose. The water
poured down out of the sky turning my roof into a waterfall as the water
cascaded off of it. Half of my back yard was under a half an inch or more of
water and the rain kept coming.

High Credit Limits Can Negatively Impact Your Credit Score

more just because they have a high limit. However, there are some
other factors to consider when requesting
higher credit limits or applying for additional revolving credit
accounts. Even if you make your payments on time, the high limit on
your card or high limits on more than one card can negatively impact
your credit score. When computing your credit score your total access
to instant credit is compared to your income and if the ratio of
potential debt to income is high you will receive a lower score. This
is true even though the balance on all of these cards is zero, because
a lender is concerned that if they make you a loan based upon your
present debt to income ratio this ratio, and the associated credit
risk, your credit risk could quickly change due to you instant access
to thousands of dollars of new debt for which you have already been
approved to use.

by people without credit.

Car rental companies will not rent cars without a credit card which gives them a
means to quickly track down the renter in the event the car fails to be returned
as well as quickly collect fees for damages to the car. Another obstacle is
making purchases on the Internet. There are payment vehicles, like PayPal, that
substitute for a credit card on the Internet, but not everyone accepts them.

When you look for opportunities to make money online, you are an "opportunist". You jump in without considering the risks, the return on investment, you believe everything that you read on a web page. A home based business means taking a calculated financial risk.

I made my work Monday. Now I am at home writing a bit for the night. I have done most of my animals duties, eaten, and showered. I am ready to enjoy a peaceful rest of the evening and then move on to a good night’s sleep. I will give my usual great commentary on news of the day and more if it strikes me.

Great guffaws and googly-moogly! Did Warren Buffet really say that? Here is the quote, "There is more than one way to get to Heaven, but this is a great way." This was said after he gave away several billion dollars to his children and Bill Gates foundation’s. Wow! He follows the good book. He may benefit a lot of people but he surely isn’t going to Heaven with that attitude.
